The Postwar Period
After the forced stop of the previous year because of the war, in the season 1945/46 the championships structure is unclear and is not the traditional one. Reggiana participates in the tournament series B – C (north) and to drive the granata is called one of the glories of Reggio Emilia: Felice Romano. The team is made for 9/11 from reggiani players and plays by heart and immediately get important results that allow it to finishing the round in the lead paired to Padova and to qualify to the final group. In the year 1946/47 Reggiana dispute a good championship that allows it to 13th place and then to get a quiet salvation. The team is entrusted to the young Bruno Vale, but halfway through the season asked to be replaced, and so it’s up to Alcide Violi lead the team to salvation. 1947/48 league, Serie B
Of all teams participating in the 1947/48 season, only the first six will remain in the group, while the other will be all relegated. The following season saw the confirmation of Ferrari as a coach and the sale of bomber Suozzi to Catania, a decision which causes controversy and protests of the fans. Reggiana based in Place Cavour and Renato Simonini assumes the presidency. 1949/50 league, Serie B
The 1949-50 season is characterized by a thriller Championship final. Reggiana plays bad and is often the victim of accidents and unfortunate incidents and get to the last day fourth from the bototm, virtually downgraded. But the final day can, with a flicker of Corradini beat Salernitana and overcome in the standings Empoli and Alessandria finishing 17th and achieving a daring salvation front of his audience of Mirabello exploding festive.
1950/51 league, Serie B
After the salvation gained in extremis, in 1950/51 Reggiana seeks to strengthen the team for not repeating the suffering of the previous year. 1951/52 league, Serie B
The following year, the 1951/52 marks a substantial dismantling of the team with the sale of many valuable pieces including Scagliarini. At the corporate level it should be noted the entrance of Giovanni Degola, which forms with existing Carlo Visconi (retuned) and Gino Lari the “magical” Triumvirate. 1952/53 championship, series C
In 1952/53, the new leadership now pointing up and build a team with the clear objective to go back immediately to Serie B. The technical guide is entrusted to the former Roma player Guido Masetti, but the team immediately betray the expectations and instead fighting for the top places is embroiled in the fight to avoid relegation. The team seems to struggle and rise again, when beating at the Tardini in Parma derby by 2 to 1 in a tense game and refereed from what will become the best referee of the time, Concetto Lo Bello. The joy for this victory, however, is severely suppressed by the news that broke out after a few days. Reggiana, namely a manager, are accused of attempted match by Parmensi executives. The C.A.F. He recognizes Reggiana guilty and the sentence is harsh: 20 points penalty and lifetime ban for Degola (will be amnestied in 1982, yet can play its role in society). Reggiana closes so last place in the standings and were relegated to IV series, in the season that marks the blackest page in the granata history.
1953/54 championship series IV
The 1953/54 season starts as a true season of re-foundation. In society, Enzo Del Conte as president, flanked Lari and Visconti and Regolo Ferretti is the secretary. As has often happened in Reggiana story focuses on local forces, starting from their coach: is chosen the old glory Alcide Violi. The team consists of some “hens” as captain Panciroli and excellent young people like Gianni Cappi it does record the still unbeaten record of signatures in a season with granata: 29 goals in 30 games. Despite the numbers of his bomber the team ended with a 3rd place at 36 points.
